Displays taxonomy terms (categories, tags, or any custom taxonomy) from any registered post type, in a grid, list, or carousel. Supports three visual skins (Classic, Cover, List), term thumbnails from DynamicKit, ACF, or Pods, and flexible term filtering.
Taxonomy Terms#
- Post Type: Dynamically populated from all registered post types that have at least one taxonomy
- Taxonomy: Per post type — lists all taxonomies registered for the selected post type
- Filter Rule: Show All, Only Top Level, Match These (include), Exclude These, Child Terms
- Parent Type: Current Category (archive context) or Choose Parent (Child Terms rule only)
- Parent Term: Term picker for the chosen parent (visible when Choose Parent is selected)
- Include / Exclude Terms: Multi-select term picker (visible for Include / Exclude rules)
- Display Empty Terms: Toggle to include terms with a post count of zero
- Order By: Name, Slug, ID, Taxonomy Count, Description
- Order: Ascending / Descending
Layout#
- Skin: Classic (image above content), Cover (image fills card, content overlaid), List (inline icon + text row)
- Layout: Grid, Carousel (not available for List skin)
- Columns: 1–6 (responsive per breakpoint; Grid / non-List skins only)
- Terms Per Page: Number of terms shown per page (Grid layout only)
- List Style: Inline (icon and text side-by-side) / Stacked (icon above text) — List skin only
- List Icon: None / Icon / Image — List skin only
- Icon: Icon library picker (default
fas fa-angle-right; visible when List Icon = Icon) - Image Source: Term Images (uses the term's own thumbnail) / Custom Image (one image for all items)
- Custom Image: Media picker with dynamic tag support (visible when Image Source = Custom Image)
- Equal Height: Forces all Classic skin cards to the same height
- Term Name - Show: Toggle (default on)
- Term Name - HTML Tag: H1–H6, div, span, p
- Term Posts Count - Show: Toggle (default on)
- Count Text Singular: Label for a single post (e.g. "Post")
- Count Text Plural: Label for multiple posts (e.g. "Posts")
- Term Description - Show: Toggle (default off)
Thumbnails#
Visible when Skin = Cover, or Skin = Classic with Term Thumbnails on, or Skin = List with List Icon = Image.
- Term Thumbnails: Toggle (Classic skin) — link to plugin settings to enable taxonomy thumbnails globally
- Image Source: DynamicKit, ACF (media field), Pods (media field)
- ACF Image Field: ACF media field picker (visible when Image Source = ACF)
- Pods Image Field: Pods media field picker (visible when Image Source = Pods)
- Image Height: Fixed height in px — leave blank for auto (Classic skin)
- Image Size: WordPress image size (default
medium_large) - Fallback Image: None / Placeholder (Elementor default) / Custom media
- Custom Fallback Image: Media picker for a custom fallback
Carousel Settings (Carousel layout only)#
- Slides Per View: Responsive (desktop/tablet/mobile)
- Autoplay: Toggle + speed; inactive in editor
- Autoplay Speed: milliseconds between slide transitions
- Infinite Loop: Continuous looping; inactive in editor
- Transition Speed: Animation duration (ms)
- Effect: Slide, Fade, Cube, Coverflow, Flip
- Slides to Scroll: Number of slides advanced per swipe
- Grab Cursor: Show grab cursor on hover
- Offset Sides: Peek adjacent slides; inactive in editor
