Dynamic Slider Overview

The Dynamic Slider widget allows you to create visually engaging, interactive image sliders that can be dynamically populated from different sources. It's ideal for showcasing portfolios, product galleries, testimonials, events, or any image-based content with smooth transitions.

This widget supports both manual and dynamic content sources, giving you flexibility for dynamic, data-driven layouts.

  • Source: Choose where your images come from.

    • Media Library – Manually select images from the WordPress Media Library.
    • ACF Gallery – Pull images from an Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Gallery field, useful for dynamic content templates.
    • Pods Gallery – Display images stored in a Pods Gallery field.

  • Effect: Control the transition style between slides.

    • Slide – Smooth sliding transition for a continuous flow between images.
    • Fade – Crossfade effect for a softer, more elegant transition.

  • Layout: Define how your slider is displayed.

    • Slideshow – Shows one image at a time with navigation controls or autoplay.
    • Carousel – Displays multiple images in a row with sliding navigation, ideal for product showcases or multi-item previews.

Preview#

  • Image Resolution: Select an image size from registered sizes.
  • Caption: Define what image information to display as a caption that you set in the media library.

    • None – No text will display.
    • Caption – Image caption will display.
    • Title – Image title will display.
    • Description – Image description will display.

  • Link to: Define whether to link the image.

    • None – Image will not be linked.
    • Media File – Image will be linked to its source so that it can be opened in the browser's window.
    • Custom URL – Image will be linked to the custom URL that you define in the media library.

Thumbnails#

This section appears when you select Slideshow as Layout.

  • Image Resolution: Select an image size for thumbnails from registered sizes.
  • Equal Height: Enabling this option will make thumbnail images equal in height.
  • Scroll to Top: The page scrolls to the top of the slider container when you click on thumbnails.
  • Columns: Define the number of thumbnails to display at a time.
  • Caption: Determine whether to display a caption on the thumbnail image.

    • None – No text will display.
    • Caption – Image caption will display.
    • Title – Image title will display.
    • Description – Image description will display.

Additional Options#

  • Transition Duration (ms): Speed of the slide/fade animation, in milliseconds. Example: 500 = half a second.
  • Autoplay: Toggle automatic slide progression on or off.
  • Autoplay Speed: Time (in milliseconds) between automatic slide changes. Example: 3000 = 3 seconds per slide.
  • Pause on Hover: If enabled, pauses autoplay when the user hovers over the slider.
  • Pause on Interaction: If enabled, disables autoplay permanently after any user interaction (like clicking arrows or swiping).
  • Infinite Loop: Enables looping: after the last slide, it seamlessly goes back to the first.
  • Direction: Sets the slide direction (left or right).
  • Navigation:

    • Arrows – Toggles next/previous arrow buttons on/off.
    • Pagination Type – Defines the style of slide indicators.

      • None – no pagination indicators.
      • Dots – small circles below the slider.
      • Fraction – e.g., "1/5" showing current/total slides.
